Here you can download the FireCam software version 3.2.0 for Mac OS X 10.4 / 10.5 and the corresponding Release Notes. Please read the Release Notes and the system requirements, changes to previous version and known limitations before you download the firecam software.

This FireCam software is used to operate all the Leica DFC digital cameras. It includes numersous intuitive image capture and editing functions to ensure that high quality images are immediately available for viewing and processing. Please note that Leica does not support or offer any third party software or additional drivers to control the actual range of digital cameras. The captured images are standard jpg, png or tif images which can also be viewed or processed by iPhoto and many other Macintosh applications.

The downloadable files with the extension .dmg uses a disk image format commonly found on Mac OS X. Such files can only be used on a Mac and and show up as an additional drive on the Macintosh desktop. Double click this "mounted" drive to see the contents of the software package and double click the "Install Leica FireCam" icon inside to start the software installation.

Note that this version supports Intel Duo based Macs as well as earlier G4 or G5 models! Leica strongly recommends to always update your Mac Operating System to the latest version for best performance and compatibility.
