Do you recommend a special slide type to be used with the IP S? FAQ Report Leica Microsystems recommends the use of Superfrost slides. Superfrost is a registered Trade Mark of Erie Scientific (US). Superfrost slides are also manufactured in Europe by Menzel (Germany) and by Matsunami and Muto in Japan. Also, the use of slides from Knittel and Mercedes Medical (US distributor of Knittel slides) can be recommended. The quality of the printing may vary depending on the color of the coated field and on the slide manufacturing process. Regretfully, printings of white coating are not as good as printings on other colors than white.
