Can I print on cover slipped slides?

Yes, although we strongly do not recommend this application. The printer can mechanically handle cover slipped slides, however these should be inserted using the single feed capability of the printer. The printer driver supports this function and the application software must support it as well. Cover slipped slides cannot be stacked in slide magazines. Please be aware that always there will be a risk of slide breakage, especially after the slides have been manually manipulated. Already cover slipped slides have more "added value" and have to be treated accordingly. Another source of risk while printing cover slipped slides is the influence that the flash (light and heat) could have on the stain and on the tissue. Leica Microsystems Nussloch GmbH cannot take responsibility for any changes in your tissue if you print on cover slipped slides. Please test stained tissue in advance if you absolutely need to print on cover slipped slides.
