Precision-Cut Liver Tissue Slices are a powerful tool to perform studies on pharmacological metabolism as well as studies investigating toxicology and efficacy of novel substances on primary material under standardized conditions. The paper describes the sectioning of liver samples from five different species (human, mouse, rat, pig, cow) using the Leica VT1200 S with Vibrocheck.

Blade holder

The blade holder can be rotated through 90° to permit safe and accurate insertion of an entire double-edged razor, sapphire or injector blade. The clearance angle is adjustable between 15°, 18°, and 21°. The blade holder is designed to reduce buffer spills during sectioning.
