Replacement of Xylene by Leica ST Ultra and Leica CV Ultra

Leica Biosystems Nussloch offers the Leica ST Ultra clearing reagent designed to be used as a Xylene replacement during tissue deparaffinization and embedding processes, staining and coverslipping.

ST Ultra is an ISO-Paraffin based clearing reagent. ISO-paraffin’s are considered to be environmentally friendly and therefore the ideal alternative to Xylene, Toluene, and Citric clearing reagents.

If used for coverslipping (mounting), it can only be used with Leica CV Ultra mounting medium. 

Leica ST Ultra und Leica CV Ultra both are:

• Non carcinogenic
• Non-toxic
• Non-flammable
• Dermatological inert
• Odorless

The dispenser parking station stores the nozzle in reagent – safely maintains mountant dispensing integrity.

The easy-to-use control panel enables settings to be customized to meet your specific laboratory requirements – simply select the ideal set-up for different samples.

The coverslip station accepts different sizes of coverglass, automatically discarding broken ones – Samples are safely and permanently covered, assuring consistent, high quality coverslipping.
