Leica Announces: Leica International Advanced Confocal Microscopy Course

In October 2009, Leica Microsystems CMS, Mannheim, Germany again offers to Leica confocal users from all over the world the opportunity to gain technical skills and know-how in advanced confocal microscopy techniques. Leica confocal application experts will give insight to methods and possibilities in confocal microscopy with introductory lectures and a main focus on practical sessions.

In October 2002 Leica Microsystems started the Advanced Confocal Microscopy Course and offered it successfully on a yearly basis.

This year’s Leica International Advanced Confocal Microscopy Course will take place from October 06th – 09th, 2009 in Washington, USA at the NIH in Bethesda, MD, U.S.A. Talks will cover topics of common interest like MP and APD imaging as well as introductory talks on methods, concepts and theoretical considerations on the course topics: Image Quality, Live Cell Imaging, FRET, FRAP and Multi Color Imaging. Practical sessions will be executed exclusively on Leica TCS SP5 systems with LAS AF user interface. We will concentrate on experiments, tips and tricks and hands on. The course is limited to 15 participants. Basic knowledge in confocal microscopy and basic training with LAS AF is a prerequisite for course participation. Course fee is US $ 990 (hotel expenses are not included).
