Background Information
In 2005, Dr. Thomas Zapf, Director Scientific Relations of Leica Microsystems GmbH, initiated “The Leica Scientific Forum – Advances in Life Science”, which swiftly evolved into an international interdisciplinary platform to present new scientific insight and knowledge of highly relevant Life Science themes.
Its relation to light microscopy is self-evident, but not imperative. Nevertheless the forum may provide trend setting content on micro- and/or nano-biological questions to the scientific research community worldwide.
The Leica Scientific Forum (LSF) is funded and supported
by Leica Microsystems GmbH.
Since 2005 the LSF is operated in selected European countries (DE since 12/2005; UK since 10/2007; FR since 11/2007) at main lecture halls of renowned university cities.
And due to the successful scientific acceptance we experienced during the last years, we are proud to expand this lecture series to North America, China and Japan in 2009.
