Martin Strnad, Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, explains in his Science Lab application note how he utilized CLEM (Correlative Light and Electron Microscopy) to investigate interactions between Borrelia burgdorferi and mammalian cell lines.

He employed the Leica EM Cryo CLEM set, a fluorescence microscope with a cryo-stage, a cryo-transfer shuttle, and a special cryo-objective.
