The Largest Ready-to-Use Antibody Range Grows Even Larger
Addition of seven important new antibodies to the largest ready-to-use (RTU) antibody range
Newcastle, United Kingdom / Melbourne, Australia. Leica Microsystems is pleased to announce the addition of seven important new antibodies to what is already the largest ready-to-use (RTU) antibody range available. The Bond RTU range includes over 100 clinically relevant antibodies prepared for use on the fully automated Bond IHC and ISH system. Working together, the Bond instrument and Bond RTU antibodies create a simple four-step process for high quality staining.
An Ongoing Commitment to Antibody Development
Leica Microsystems continues to develop and release new Bond antibodies as part of its commitment to continuously improving the Bond system. With this Phase 9 release the following new products have been added:
- Negative Mouse (PA0996)
- Negative Rabbit (PA0777)
- CD138 (PA0088)
- Inhibin (PA0110)
- Glucagon (PA0594)
- CD30 (PA0790)
- Oct-3/4 (PA0934)
The Negative Mouse and Negative Rabbit reagents are particularly interesting additions to the range as they bring all the ready to-use benefits to negative reagent controls. Now, like all Bond RTU staining, negative reagent controls no longer require mixing, titration or dilution. Users also have the confidence of using controls specifically developed for formalin fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue optimized for Bond Polymer Refine Detection™.
An example of Leica Microsystems’ ongoing innovation is the new CD30 product. While there is already a CD30 product in the range, this new product has been released so Bond customers can enjoy the benefits of the preferred JCM182 clone.
Four-Step IHC
The Bond RTU range helps standardize IHC testing and eliminates many manual tasks. Using Novocastra Science™, each antibody is optimized for use on the fully automated Bond IHC and ISH system. There is no need to mix, dilute or titrate a Bond RTU antibody so there is less opportunity for process variation and fewer non-productive tasks. Now there are only four simple steps to high quality IHC and Lean Histology™ workflows.
1. Load
Simply place a registered container onto the Bond processing module along with the Bond Polymer Refine Detection™ system.
2. Select
Select the antibody and Bond automatically sets the ideal protocol and pretreatment options.
3. Run
Start immediately, or select a delayed start, and walk away.
4. Review
Enjoy consistently brilliant stains thanks to full automation, superior Novocastra clones and Compact Polymer™ detection.
A Complete System Solution
The Leica Bond IHC and ISH system is a complete system solution. Leica Microsystems have developed all aspects of Bond to work together: the antibodies, the Compact Polymer™ detection, the ancillary reagents and the staining instrument. This creates a complete system where the customer can be confident that all parts are optimized to work together for high quality results and high-productivity Lean Histology™ workflows.
