Phase visualization as an alternative to ratio imaging for determining intracellular analyte concentrations in fluorescence microscopy applications

Phase visualization as an alternative to ratiometric visualization and the differences between the two techniques are described. They are both used in fluorescence microscopy for the visualization of physiological processes. Phase visualization includes optimal adaption to the human visual system.
