Paintings
Our stereomicroscopes are ideally suited to detail-accurate cleaning and restoration of paintings.
For large-sized paintings, these can also be combined with a floor stand.
Variable zoom positions enable you to both work at low magnifications and analyze the tiniest details.

- The almost life-size portrait dating from the first half of the 17th century requires extensive restoration. The microscope examination shows the rough granular surface of this Dutch painting which is a result of a later application of varnish with poorly dissolved components. ©Sammlungen des Fürsten von und zu Liechtenstein, Vaduz–Wien

Software
Imaging software that integrates Leica automated microscopes and digital cameras and provides one common, easy-to-use, consistent user intereface | Simplifies quantification by allowing the user to trace around objects with adjustable tracing lines, identify areas of significance and derive measurement parameters such as length, area, angle or perimeter |
Live Measurement Module allows interactive measurements as in LAS Measurement Modul but displays measurement data such as length, diameter, and angle on top of live images | Allows graphic elements and text to be added to images |
Automatically captures a stack of images at different focus positions and combines them into a single extended depth of focus image | Increases the throughput compared to manual acquisition for faster, high quality extended focus images |
Automatically captures and easily stores 2 dimensional images larger than the field of view created from multiple tiled images | Multiple image feature detection, measurement and evaluation using a variety of analysis tools such as histograms, pie charts and statistics that can be exported to Excel
