The retrieval of a specimen replica on a specimen carrier grid is often a tedious operation, mainly because it must be placed in the dead center of the carrier grid. The replica mounting tool allows placement of the specimen replica in the exact center of a carrier grid mounted on a fixture, without any problems. The received replica cannot move to the edge of the grid. The replica mounting tool is set up in place of the 80 mm or 10 mm in diameter carrier plate which goes in the stage stand of a stereo microscope. This allowing the transfer of specimen replicas on the carrier grids to be conducted under microscopic monitoring.
