Fully automated microscope system for live cell applications Leica DMI6000 B with Adaptive Focus Control

Leica DMI6000 with Adaptive Focus Control

The Leica DMI6000 B with Adaptive Focus Control (AFC) for live cell applications ensures that the specimen is actively kept in focus even under demanding environmental conditions.

The fully automated AFC is the ultimate tool for long-term and/or high-speed time lapse recordings in combination with multi-positioning, z-stacking and multifluorescence experiments.

The system features a stand alone operation mode and smooth intergation in all kind of software workflows. It offers the option to combine the AFC with a high-speed digital autofocus to dynamically adapt to changing cell positions or morphology. AFC convinces with speed and reliability....

Your Advantages

Speed

Leica AFC can be used to correct in real time for small focal differences while you are moving from position to position in your specimen. The smart integration in the Leica AF6500 and AF7000 software allows to use AFC during high speed experiments.

Compatibility

AFC is applicable for a wide variety of glass bottom and selected plastic bottom dishes and cover slips, objectives and all kind of selected contrasting methods – including a brilliant Differential Interference Contrast, crisp Fluorescence and simultaneous TIRF acquisition.

Ease of use

Based on the Intelligent Automation concept of the Leica DMI6000 B the AFC always uses optimized settings depending on the objective in use. Ensuring optimal results under all experimental conditions.

Motorization and automation

Leica AFC is fully motorized and allows the user to automatically remove parts out of the beam path when the application doesn’t need it.
