Perfect Sections Tape Transfer System

The CryoJane ® Tape-Transfer System for Cryosectioning makes it easy to produce high-quality frozen sections of difficult tissues. The CryoJane uses adhesive coated slides and adhesive tapes to capture sections instead of using an anti-roll plate or brush. The Le ica CryoJane is adaptable to virtually all cryostats on the market. The system achieves frozen sections of paraffin-quality as thin as two microns. The sections are wrinkle-free, uncompressed, fully intact and bonded to the microscope slide. A strip of tape is aff ixed to the trimmed tissue block and a section is then cut onto the tape. The tape with the section is placed on a pre-coated adhesi ve slide. The tape/slide is flashed with UV light, which polymerizes the adhesive on the slide. The tape is then peeled away to reve al the unthawed section securely anchored to the slide. The section on the slide is now ready for fixation and/or staining as it wou ld normally be done without the tape transfer. It is ideal for fatty tissues such as breast tissue, undecalcified bone and for seria l sections of brain.Sections can be cut between 2-60 um in thickness and single or multiple sections can be placed on a single slide . Eight millisecond, long-wave UV (360 nm) is safe for protocols such as In situ Hybridization. The system features a temperature-co ntrolled pad for optimal section transfer conditions. A Protective Oil Bath Accessory (optional) prevents freeze drying of specimens during long term freezer storage. Minimal maintenance required. Consistent results help operators maintain productivity and preserv e tissue samples. These Adhesive Slides for routine CryoJane® sectioning feature an adhesive coating which, when polymerized, bonds the still-frozen s ection from the tape to the slide. The slides will not thaw the tissue section. 125 slides per box.

These Adhesive Slides are ideal for hard or very fatty tissues. The slides are adhesive coated and suitable for the CryoJane® Tape T ransfer System. They will not thaw the tissue section. 100 slides per box.

The Protective Oil Accessory Kit for CryoJane® maintains oil in a bath inside the cryostat at -8ºC. It will not melt the tissue when brushed on the frozen block face. Frozen blocks coated with this protective oil can be stored for up to one year in a freezer witho ut dehydration. The Protective Oil must be ordered at the time of purchase with CryoJane® Tape Transfer System.

These pink Adhesive Tape Windows are used with the CryoJane® or Paraffin Tape-Transfer Systems. They are used to capture sections an d transport them to Adhesive Coated Slides.
