Carl A. Ascoli, Ph.D.
Carl A. Ascoli graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 1988. Working with Dr. Gerd Maul at the Wistar Institute, he identified a novel nuclear structure called PML bodies which serve as a storage depot for various regulatory proteins. He is the Laboratory Director for Rockland Immunochemicals and has more than 30 years of academic and industrial expertise in virology, immunology, host-agent interaction, autoimmune diseases, cancer biology, antibody production and engineering, protein purification and recombinant technology.
