Nicola Lawson, Ph.D.
Nicola Lawson, Senior Research Scientist, Leica Microsystems Newcastle, UK, acquired a B.Sc. in Biochemistry at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. Afterwards, she made a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology in the field of gene transcription in diabetes. Her Ph.D. thesis title is “Targeting Pdx1 Gene Transcription in Type 2 Diabetes”. At Leica Microsystems, she is a research and development scientist specialized in the development of monoclonal antibodies and medical diagnostic devices.
