The AFM (Atomic Force Microscope) holders allow clamping of the specimen for surface preparation using the Leica Ultramicrotome Ultracut UC6/FC6. Subsequent examination can be made in the AFM without releasing the specimen from the insert. This is important to prevent distortion of the sample surface.
Easy handling:
The insert is clamped only by a quarter turn of the locking ring on the holder. The insert is removed with the planed sample by sliding it out of the holder in the Ultramicrotome or Cryochamber
