Muellerianosis is a rare variant of endometriosis in form of a partly tumor-like proliferation of at least 2 types of the Muellerian epithelium (endometrial, endocervical, endosalpingeal). A conclusive explanation of the etiopathogenesis of this illness has not yet been proposed. Typically it is found intramurally in the urine bladder of premenopausasl women who complain of partly menstruation-related problems or in cases of haematuria. The course of this illness is usually benign. Differential diagnosis must distinguish not only benign reactive lesions such as the nephrogenic adenoma but above all primary or metastatic adenocardinomas in the efferent urinary tract.
