The man-machine interface of the Discovery series is mainly defined by:

  • the dimensions of the whole system
  • possibilities of adjusting the eyepiece
  • the shape and position of controls, e.g. the focus knob
  • the dialog structure and graphic layout of the touchscreen menu for controlling many of the functions


    • These components have been developed and improved step by step, involving the end user from the very beginning. The result is a new microscope system that sets new standards both in terms of optical technology and human engineering. The reactions of experts after the market launch in March 2003 and the sales success of the microscope series proves that scientific analysis can be teamed with creative design to produce profitable innovation.
