The ASP 300 is a fully enclosed, stand-alone system for the processing of up to 300 specimens (cassettes). The new tissue processor combines proven technology with an innovative user interface and SMART operating software. The user interface combines a color touch-screen and easy-to-use, yet powerful software. It includes a variety of SMART features, which help improve sample quality and laboratory economy and make the ASP 300 one of the most reliable instruments available for tissue processing.

Many routine user operations are simplified to reduce operator involvement and the risk of user errors. The SMART Start function automates the start of the most commonly used programs in the lab and helps avoid operator error.

The enhanced Reagent Management System (RMS) ensures consistently high quality specimen processing and optimizes reagent use. The ASP 300 reagent compatibility safety check avoids cross-contamination of incompatible reagents; assuring a new level of safety and reliability in tissue processing. The RMS feature of the ASP 300 smartly manages tissue processing by extending the lifetime of reagents and reducing laboratory operating costs while improving specimen quality.

The SMART Screen enables the operator to check reagent and instrument status at a glance. Critical instrument functions are easily and intuitively performed from the screen, and the actual status of the ASP 300 and the progress of a running program are constantly monitored and displayed.

A context-sensitive, on-line Help feature supports the operator in routine tasks and answers the most commonly asked questions about the use of the ASP 300.
Features like Multi-Remote Fill & Drain of reagents and active paraffin cleaning reduce user exposure to reagents and improve laboratory efficiency.

The mechanical design of the ASP 300 addresses critical performance criteria like specimen quality, process and operator safety, reagent carry-over and consumption, reliability and lifetime cost.
The ASP 300 also features comprehensive documentation for CAP and GLP compliance. The design, materials and workmanship are in compliance with CE, UL, c-UL, and VDE-standards.
