Embryonic stem cell injection
For the research of genetic related diseases, knock-out mice are often used. To generate this animals, embryonic stem cells are injected into the blastocoel of mouse blastocysts. This results in an animal with a pattern (e.g. specific organs) of "normal" and transgenic tissue.
