Correlative Fluorescence and (Cryo-) Electron Microscopy

In our free webinar, you will learn how you can identify objects of interest based on their fluorescent signal, and then find and image them in 3D in the transmission electron microscope using correlative light and electron microscopy (CLEM) methods.

The next challenge is to make these methods work at liquid Nitrogen temperatures – to perform cryo-fluorescence microscopy and subsequent cryo-electron microscopy. You will discover that cryo-fluorescence microscopy can take advantage of improved structural preservation and improved fluorophore properties at low temperature and that cryo-EM has the power to resolve very detailed structural information on proteins.
