Open House Event – Learn About Confocal Microscopy for Surface Metrology Applications in Chelmsford, MA, USA

The Leica DCM8 optical surface metrology solution is at the center of the open house event, where users can learn about the advantages of confocal microscopy for surface metrology applications. The event is organized together with JH Technologies, and will be held from September 24 to 25 in their office in Chelmsford, MA, USA. Mario Gislao, Imaging Manager for Industrial Microscopes at Leica Microsystems, will hold a ‘lunch and learn’ session: He will talk about how confocal compares to other methodologies of surface metrology, like atomic force microscopy (AFM), stylus, interferometry and other technologies. “Also, we’ll talk about the advantages and disadvantages of each methodology, how confocal works and why it is becoming increasingly popular”, Gislao explains. In addition, all participants can bring their most challenging samples for a free on-site analysis on the Leica DCM8.

The Leica DCM8 optical surface metrology system is the latest evolution in non-contact 3D optical surface metrology. It unites the advantages of high definition confocal microscopy with interferometry into one versatile solution. Whether users are working in production or research, the Leica DCM8 delivers the accurate, repeatable metrological analysis results they need in order to optimize material performance.

The event takes place at JH Technologies, 10 Kidder Road, Unit 5, Chelmsford, MA 01824. The attendance is limited. If you want to participate, please send an E-Mail to Mario.Gislao(at)leica-microsystems(dot)com.
