Andrea Mülter leads the confocal application team at Leica Microsystems in Mannheim. Before that she was product manager for the core confocal products, namely the Leica TCS SP8 and optics specialized for confocal imaging. Since her diploma thesis, she has worked in confocal microscopy. Andrea obtained her Ph.D. at NIH with Jennifer Lippincott-Schwartz and then moved on to the group of Ursula Klingmüller at the German Cancer Research Center in Heidelberg where she used a systems biology approach to study signal transduction in mammalian cells by quantitative imaging methods.
