Imre Gaspar , PhD

Imre studied medicine in Szeged, Hungary and subsequently did his PhD there studying the importance of a maternally provided alpha-tubulin isoform during Drosophila ooand embryogenesis. He joined the Ephrussi group in EMBL Heidelberg in 2009, where he has been studying the assembly of transport competent RNPs and the specific regulation of microtubule based transport systems that contributes to robustness of the organism.
