Zhongxiang Jiang is Application Manager for confocal microscopy in the Life Science Research Division, Leica Microsystems Mannheim since 2011. He received his Diploma degree for Biology at the University Jena, in 2006. Then he joined the Bastmeyer’s group in the Institute for Cell and Neurobiology in Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and finished his Ph.D research on cell-ECM interaction on micro-patterned 2D and 3D culture substrates in 2009. Besides the study on cell behavior he has practized in working with different modern microscopic cell-imaging techniques.
His responsibility covers general confocal microscopy, Coherent Anti-Stokes Raman Scattering (CARS) microscopy, multiphoton microscopy and the field of Single Molecule Detection Methods with FLIM,
