Jordan S. Orange , Ph.D., MD

Dr Jordan S. Orange is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and in the Division of Allergy, and Immunology at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia where he currently holds the Jeffrey Modell Endowed Chair of Immunology Research. Dr. Orange performed his PhD in host defense at Brown University in the laboratory of Christine Biron, and post-doctoral research in cell biology in the laboratory of Jack Strominger at Harvard University.  Dr. Orange is a physician scientist and performed clinical training in immunology and congenital defects of immunity at Harvard Medical School while working on their mechanism in laboratory of Raif Geha. Dr. Orange developed a passion for imaging in the Department for Cell and Molecular Biology at Harvard and placed an intense focus upon highly quantitative approaches to imaging the immune system. Dr. Orange received the 2009 Judson Daland Prize from the American Philosophical Society for outstanding clinically-relevant investigation and is an elected member of the American Society for Clinical Investigation.
