David Orloff received his BS in Biochemistry at the University of Maryland. From there he went to work on one of the early generation protein sequence databases, the Protein Information Resource. He then received his MBA in the Management of Science, Technology, and Innovation at the George Washington University. He is now Senior Manager of the The Cell: An Image Library™-CCDB at ASCB, an NIGMS funded project for the development of an image repository for researchers.
