Débora received her Master’s in Pharmaceutical Sciences in 2011 and her D.Sc. in Science and Technology of Polymers in 2016, both from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). During her D.Sc., she spent time at the Physics Department of Harvard University for a collaboration. She is a Lemann Fellow since 2013. She works as a Research Scientist in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio) since 2015. Her research is focused on microfluidics, microencapsulation, controlled drug release, emulsion stability, flow of complex fluids in porous media, and enhanced oil recovery.
