Jørgen Wadum

Jørgen Wadum is Keeper of Conservation, National Gallery of Denmark, Copenhagen, and Head of the Centre for Art Technological Studies and Conservation (CATS). He has a M.Sc. in Paintings Conservation from the School of Conservation in Copenhagen and a Ph.D. from the University of Amsterdam.

His working area is Technical Art History, i.e. the interdisciplinary co-operation that links art historians, conservators, and the conservation sciences as well as other disciplines such as social and economic history and aesthetics. He is also occupied in the study of panel painting marks and brands. Before joining the National Gallery, he was Head of Conservation, Koninklijk Kabinet van Schilderijen Mauritshuis, Den Haag, the Netherlands.
