Chunzi Liu

Chunzi Liu received her B.S. in Materials Science & Engineering from Georgia Tech, where she studied the coloration mechanisms of Morpho butterfly wing scales under Prof. Mohan Srinivasarao and Prof. Doekele Stavenga. In 2016, Chunzi started her Ph.D. studies in Chemical Engineering under Prof. Gerald Fuller at Stanford University. Her thesis focuses on the lubrication mechanisms of the ocular surface. As a Stanford Bio-X Bowes Fellow, she combines interfacial science, fluid mechanics, and biophysics to study how surface chemistry and morphology interact with tear film stability. In her free time, Chunzi enjoys searching for scrap metals around the lab for her next instrument building project.
