Orlando Musso

Principal Investigator at the Institute Nutrition, Metabolism and Cancer (NuMeCan), INSERM, University of Rennes, INRAe, France

Dr. Musso has a background as an MD specialized in Anatomic Pathology and is an expert in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) research at the French National Institute of Health and Medical Research (INSERM). As a member of the French Biological Resource Center (BRC) Network of liver tumors and co-manager of the hepatocellular carcinoma research program at Rennes BRC, he has established and curated HCC tissue collections, authored an influential HCC classification, described the extracellular matrix proteomics and visualized cancer stem cell niches in HCCs with multiplexed imaging. A dedicated mentor and educator, Dr. Musso develops academic activities while coordinating a multicentric project on HCC heterogeneity funded by the French National Cancer Institute.

Co-detection of 10 extracellular matrix proteins and 3 topographical tissue landmarks by multiplex immunostaining within a single high-grade fibrous hotspot from a human hepatocellular carcinoma

In Situ Identification of Cancer Stem Cell Niches in Hepatocellular Carcinoma

Discover how multiplexed imaging technology uncovers cancer stem cell niches in Hepatocellular Carcinoma using multiplex immunodetection, revealing extracellular matrix dynamics. Explore precise…
