Leica EL6000

External light source for fluorescence excitation

The new external light source for fluorescence excitation

Overview

Leica EL6000 – A new external light source for fluorescence excitation with many benefits. It is coupled via a liquid light guide to all Leica upright, inverted and stereomicroscopes. This keeps heat away from the specimen. It uses an alignment free bulb with an long lifetime.
An attenuator enables to reduce the intensity of excitation light. A fast shutter switches off excitation light within ms. The Leica EL6000 is an ideal enhancement for fluorescence.

Key Features

  • Silent, external light source for fluorescence excitation

  • Alignment-free bulb
  • Long bulb lifetime of >2000h
  • Attenuator
  • Fast shutter (6ms)
  • Heat protection filter

Leica EL6000 - a new external light source for fluorescence excitation.
Coupled via liquid light guide and adapter to all Leica upright, inverted and stereomicroscopes. Keeps heat away from the microscope, stage and specimen and reduces the weight for stereomicroscope z-drive.
The Leica EL6000 uses an alignment-free metal halide bulb with an extremely long lifetime of >2000h. This reduces the operating costs and saves time for centring lamp housings. Furthermore it is ideal for long term experiments.
A fast build in shutter switches off excitation light within 6 ms. An attenuator offers the possibility to reduce the intensity of excitation light to reduce photo bleaching or stress to living samples.
The new Leica EL6000 is the ideal fluorescence light source with many benefits for fluorescence applications and labs budget.
