Leica DMC4500 Digital Microscope Camera

You can attach the DMC4500 camera to any Leica compound or stereo microscope with a documentation tube or documentation port. If you are unsure, your local Leica representative will be happy to help. For microscopes other than Leica please contact your local Leica representative.

The camera is supported in LAS X 1.9 or higher and LAS 4.7 or higher.

The camera is compatible with Win7 and Win8 software.

The camera can be switched to monochrome mode using Leica software.

It is the 5 MP Sony sensor ICX282 with super HAD CCD technology.

The camera features a 2/3 inch sensor, so we recommend to use the 0.63x C-mount adapter for stereo microscopes or the 0.7x C-mount adapter for compound microscopes.

The box includes the Leica DMC4500 camera head, a PCI Express USB 3.0 interface card with 2 ports, two mounting brackets (long and short), Molex power connector, SATA adapter cable (3x SATA, 1x Molex), USB 3.0 cable (2.5 m), quick start guide, and Leica Application Suite (LAS) and Leica Application Suite (LAS X) software.

In many cases you can use it, but to benefit from the full performance of the camera we recommend using the PCI board, which is delivered with the camera.

You can, but the Leica DMC4500 will be limited to a live image of full frame of 25 MHz. No binning mode is possible when the camera is used with USB 2.0.

The Leica DMC4500 has a USB 3.0 digital interface and is delivered with an USB 3.0 PCI express board.
