Monitor fast dynamics at 29 frames/second (512 x 512 px) with Leica Microsystems’ resonant scanner. Perform elaborate multicolor experiments with seven external channels and spectral unmixing software. Optimal transmission of the scan optics up to 1300 nm and an integrated OPO (Optical Parametric Oscillator) solution allow you to efficiently excite red fluorophores. Reach even deeper into samples and simultaneously excite red and green fluorophores with the OPO.

Dedicated multiphoton platform – perfect for intravital imagingMultiphoton imaging is the optimal tool for imaging deeply in thick tissue sections and whole animals. The long excitation wavelengths used for multiphoton excitation are less scattered in biological tissues and reach deeper into very thick specimens. Multiphoton excitation is restricted to the focal plane. Perform uncaging, photoactivation and photobleaching in a diffraction-limited volume for more meaningful results. Reduce sample damage outside of the focal plane to ensure viability of living samples. |
Follow fast dynamics at video rate scan speedWith Leica Microsystems' Tandem Scanner you can switch between scan speeds depending on your applications. Acquire detailed z-stacks faster or record fast dynamics in living organisms with the resonant scanner. Switch to slower scan speeds of the conventional scanner for optimal spatial resolution. For both scanning modi you can rotate the scan field and use panning in x and y to optimally position the imaging area in relation to your sample. |
Elaborate experiments with seven detectors simultaneouslyDetect multiple fluorophores with up to four non-descanned detectors (NDD) in either reflected or transmitted light position. NDDs with large photo sensor areas ensure maximal photon collection efficency to detect even weak signals from deep tissue sections. High-contrast brightfield images (DIC, Dodt) can be acquired simultaneously with TLD and RLD signals from the NDDs (depending on the microscope stand) for a complete picture of your specimen. |
Fully integrated OPO and optimized scan optics for efficient excitation up to 1300 nmExplore the full range of fluorescent proteins and dyes by multiphoton imaging with excitation up to 1300 nm. The Leica OPO solution is fully integrated in the Leica LAS AF software interface for easy tuning and setup of laser wavelengths. Now, even simultaneous multiphoton excitation of green and red fluorophores is possible. The scan optics of the Leica TCS MP5 with high transmission up to 1300 nm ensure that you get the maximum power at the sample. |
