Leica Application Suite Advanced Fluorescence LAS AF

Leica Application Suite Advanced Fluorescence (LAS AF) is the easy to use software platform for advanced life science research with Leica Microsystems confocal and widefield systems. LAS AF can be extended by High Content Screening Automation Packages, Leica HCS A, and by additional software packages to exactly match the user’s needs.

Integrated Platform for Advanced Life Science Research

LAS AF offers full control over the microscope hardware and at the same time minimizes the need for user interaction through intelligent automation, e.g. by opening and closing shutters according to the selected contrasting method or by moving matching DIC prisms into the light path when changing objectives. All system parameters can be applied to further experiments for maximum reproducibility.

A wide choice of hardware components e.g. the unique water immersion micro dispenser, high precision stages and live cell accessories can be added to obtain integrated and reliable system solutions dedicated to specific applications like screening, ratio imaging, FRET, colocalization studies, super-resolution, TIRF or electrophysiology.

The experiment data can be reviewed directly on the system or just on a separate PC with one of the offline packages.

LAS AF on Widefield Systems

LAS AF can be combined with inverted and upright research microscopes, stereo and fixed stage microscopes, macroscopes and clinical routine microscopes to a fully integrated AF6000 widefield imaging system.

The modular structure of LAS AF for widefield systems allows to combine the core software with exactly what is needed for your experiments: multi channel acquisition, timelapse, z-control and autofocus, mark and find, stitching or additional camera drivers.

LAS AF on Confocal Systems

The Control Software for Leica TCS SP8 already contains all basic tools necessary for advanced imaging application with the confocal system.

To take full advantage of the spectral imaging possibilities of the Leica TCS SP8, it can be extended by the Dye Finder package. 

Advanced Software Packages

To extend the range of applications for both widefield and confocal systems, optional packages are offered for Colocalization Analysis, Calcium Imaging, Electrophysiology, Triggering and complex timelapse experiments, FRET, photobleaching, 3D Visualization with real time rendering, Deconvolution.

All application, processing and quantification modules are identical for all platforms and are fully integrated into LAS AF for fast handling and visualization of large data sets.
