Hands-On EM Sample Preparation Workshop with UC Enuity

Join CNB-CSIC and Leica Microsystems for a hands-on workshop exploring electron microscopy sample preparation with the UC Enuity ultramicrotome.

Combining technical instruction, live demonstrations and practical sessions, the workshop gives you the opportunity to explore ultramicrotomy applications for Life Sciences and materials research. Work directly with UC Enuity and evaluate prepared samples using EM imaging.

What to expect

An introduction to the UC Enuity ultramicrotomy platform and its applications

Array tomography, volume EM, CLEM-fluorescence and cryo-FIB lamella preparation

Block-face and cryo preparation for SEM, FIB-SEM, AFM and optical microscopy

Diamond trimming knives

Sectioning approaches for polymers, coatings, elastomers, multilayer materials and composites

The opportunity to bring or submit your own samples for sectioning and discussion

Workshop format

The workshop combines technical instruction, live demonstrations and practical sessions with UC Enuity. Attendance is limited to 30 participants.
