Il sistema Leica EM AFS2 esegue le tecniche di Freeze Substitution e progressivo abbassamento della temperatura (PLT, Progressive Lowering of Temperature) e consente l'inclusione a bassa temperatura e la polimerizzazione delle resine.
La soluzione Leica EM FSP (processatore per la tecnica Freeze Substitution), ovvero un sistema di gestione dei reagenti automatico, combinata con il sistema Leica EM AFS2, eroga reagenti sia per la tecnica Freeze Substitution che per le applicazioni PLT. L'illuminazione a LED dall'interno della camera e dello stereomicroscopio collegato per la visualizzazione e il posizionamento dei campioni, garantisce la semplicità d'uso.
