Rolando Berlinguer-Palmini , Dr.

Dr. Rolando Berlinguer-Palmini ist wissenschaftlicher Referent in der Abteilung BioImaging der Universität Newcastle (UK).

Er promovierte 2004 in Physiologie an der Universität Florenz (Ita), wo er bis 2008 in der Abteilung für Pharmakologie arbeitete. Danach wechselte er zum Imperial College London (BioEngineering) und zur Universität Newcastle, wo er als Elektrophysiologe/Optogenetiker an bionischen Augenprothesen und menschlichen Implantaten zur Kontrolle von Epilepsie arbeitete. Im Jahr 2015 wechselte er in die Abteilung BioImaging, wo er sich auf die superauflösende Bildgebung (STED) und die Bildanalyse konzentrierte.

Ab 2020 leitet er auch die neue MEA-Einrichtung, in der hochauflösende Multi-Elektroden-Arrays mit funktioneller Bildgebung und gemusterter Lichtstimulation gekoppelt werden.
