Leica Microsystems President Annette Rinck Appointed to University Council of Philipps University of Marburg

14 June 2023, Wetzlar, Germany – Leica Microsystems, a leader in microscopy and scientific instrumentation, today announced that its President, Dr Annette Rinck, has been appointed to the University Council of the Philipps University of Marburg. Dr Rinck was appointed following a recommendation made by the Hessian Ministry of Science. The Senate of Philipps University has now confirmed her appointment.

The University Council of the Philipps University consists of eight external members from science and industry. The University Council serves as a link between the University and society. One of its tasks is to advise the University on its strategic orientation with regard to the development of its main areas of activity, such as, research, teaching, and other studies.
