With deep expertise in a wide range of microscopy systems, application methods, and image analysis workflows, Daniel is known for building strong, collaborative relationships that drive scientific and operational success. Currently serving as an Advanced Workflow Specialist at Leica Microsystems, he partners with researchers to optimize confocal imaging workflows across diverse scientific applications. Previously, he led the Advanced Light Microscopy Core at Harvard Medical School, where he expanded services and significantly increased user engagement through strategic leadership and technical mentorship.

Stephen Scheer, Regional Sales Manager - Western US
Stephen joined Leica Microsystems in 2024 as a Regional Sales Manager and has been part of Danaher since 2019 in various strategic leadership roles. He has extensive experience in both the Diagnostics and Life Science Research space, engaging with Academic Medical Centers, Reference Laboratories, Biotech and Biopharma companies. Stephen is driven to align Leica’s microscopy solutions with customer’s needs, advancing research and improving patient outcomes. He is proud to lead a customer-centric team and build strong relationships within the scientific community.
Leslie Koyama, Advanced Workflow Specialist – Confocal & SF Leica Imaging Center Manager
Leslie Koyama is an Advanced Workflow and Imaging Specialist covering Northern California and the manager of the Leica Imaging Center in South San Francisco. In her dual role, Leslie focuses on empowering scientists by educating them on best practices and new technologies. With over 10 years of experience in a wide range of microscopy and image analysis techniques, Leslie brings not only expertise but also a strong collaborative mindset to help customers achieve their goals and see new possibilities in their research through microscopy.
