Jay Reichman

Jay Reichman is Director of Design and Engineering at Chroma Technology, which he co-founded in 1991. He has been working in the thin-film coating design and manufacturing industry for over 25 years, specializing in fluorescence microscopy applications. He has designed filters and coatings for many instruments and techniques in the field of microscopy, including laser-scanning and Nipkow-disk confocal, multi-photon, SIM, STED, m-FISH, TIRF, and CARS. He has also designed filters for related applications, such as laser-trapping, flow cytometry, and genomic microarray imaging. In the field of astronomy,  while at Omega Optical he designed filters for the Hubble Space Telescope's wide-field planetary camera.  Jay is a graduate of Brown University (BSc. in mechanical engineering.)
