Irmtraud Steinmetz

Irmtraud Steinmetz is Application Manager for the Life Science Division, Leica Microsystems Mannheim. She studied Biology and gained her Ph.D. in Cell Biology. During his time, she gained a lot of experience in the field of microscopy (electron microscopy and histology).

Irmtraud Steinmetz is responsible for customer demonstrations, trainings, worldwide organization of workshops as well as cooperation with reference customers and application letters. She also works in internal projects. Besides the classical confocal microscopy applications, she works in the field Single Molecule Detection Methods with FLIM, FCS and FLCS as well as  Multiphoton Microscopy and Electrophysiology.
