Timo Zimmermann , Dr.

Timo Zimmermann

As the head of the Advanced Light Microscopy Unit at the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) in Barcelona, Dr. Timo Zimmermann tested the STELLARIS 5 confocal system there in 2020. After studying Biology in Munich and a subsequent PhD Thesis in cellular and developmental biology using confocal microscopy, he worked for several years at the Advanced Light Microscopy Facility at the EMBL, before moving to Barcelona in 2007 to establish the CRG Advanced Light Microscopy Unit. He started as team leader for Advanced Light Microscopy Technology Development and Service Provision at the new Imaging Centre at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL) in Heidelberg, Germany, in summer 2021.
