Why use ATTO-TEC fluorescence labels?
ATTO-TEC fluorescence labels are excellently suited for a variety of bioanalytical applications.
The absorption and fluorescence of some dyes are specifically optimized for the red region of the visible spectrum. In this wavelength range, the autofluorescence of many biological samples is greatly reduced, making the label fluorescence more detectable against the background. Other dyes show a large shift in fluorescence relative to absorption (large Stokes shift).
Still, others are characterized by strong hydrophilicity, reducing or completely avoiding nonspecific adsorption to biomolecules and surfaces. ATTO labels are versatile in fluorescence spectroscopy.
All dyes are well characterized and can be used in applications such as time-resolved fluorescence spectroscopy, FRET (Förster Resonance Energy Transfer), and single-molecule detection.
