ATTO 343H is a hydrophilic short wavelength fluorescent marker with a coumarin structure. The characteristic properties of this dye include high fluorescence quantum yield, large Stokes-shift, good photostability and low molecular weight. ATTO 343H s very water soluble and the fluorescence efficiency after coupling to biomolecules, such as a protein, is only slightly reduced even at higher degrees of labeling (DOL). ATTO 343H is an anionic dye. After conjugation to a biomolecule, the dye carries a single negative charge. Efficient excitation of fluorescence occurs in the 330 - 365 nm range.
