ATTO 589H

ATTO 589H is a fluorescent marker from the rhodamine class. As a hydrophilic alternative to ATTO Rho101, the dye exhibits excellent water solubility, significantly reduced aggregation, and a low tendency toward nonspecific binding. ATTO 589H possesses strong absorption, a very high fluorescence quantum yield, and high thermal and photochemical stability. The dye is therefore ideal for use in single-molecule detection and high-resolution microscopy (SIM, STED, etc.). ATTO 589H is an anionic dye. After coupling to a substrate, it is singly negatively charged. Efficient fluorescence excitation occurs in the 570–600 nm range. ATTO 589H is an isomer mixture of two dyes with virtually identical absorption and fluorescence properties. The dye is also available in isomerically pure form upon request.
