Yoshiko Ito

Yoshiko is Senior Application Specialist and Customer Support at Leica Microsystems in Tokyo, Japan.

Yoshiko learned electron microscopy techniques through the research on yeast at university. Since 1989, she has worked as an application staff member for electron microscopes and biological specimen preparation equipment. She joined Leica Microsystems in 2004. She is responsible for a wide range of electron microscope pretreatment equipment, particularly cryotechnology equipment, with a focus on ultramicrotomes. She also joined many collaborative research projects and is actively involved in the development and dissemination of technology.
