ATTO 436H is a hydrophilic fluorescent marker with a coumarin structure. The characteristic properties of this dye include high fluorescence quantum yield, high photostability, and a low molecular weight. As a hydrophilic variant of ATTO 425,ATTO 436H is highly water-soluble, and the fluorescence efficiency after coupling to biomolecules, such as proteins, is only slightly reduced, even at higher degrees of labeling (DOL). ATTO 436H is an anionic dye. After conjugation to a biomolecule, the dye carries a singly negative charge. Efficient fluorescence excitation occurs in the 405–455 nm range.
