The STELLARIS next-generation White Light Lasers (WLL), paired with optimally matched detectors from our Power HyD family of detectors, gives you complete spectral freedom to choose and combine exactly the right probes to answer your experimental questions. The WLL, together with our proprietary Acousto-Optical Beam Splitter (AOBS), enables the use of up to 8 simultaneous scanning independent laser lines. You can tune each excitation line and detection window to perfectly match the spectral profile of dyes in your sample. Excite each fluorophore in your sample optimally, choosing any wavelength between 440 nm and 790 nm. That means you can maximize excitation efficiency, minimize cross-excitation and specimen damage, and incorporate novel dyes into your experiments.
Supercontinuum White Light Lasers (WLL) convert monochromatic laser light into what is essentially a rainbow of spatially coherent light spanning a significant portion of the visible spectrum. From this “laser rainbow” you can select virtually any wavelength and intensity of light to excite your sample. Unlike traditional lasers, which are generally monochromatic or emit just a few discrete laser lines at once, a single WLL with AOBS can simultaneously deliver multiple excitation lines (up to 8).
